Are you living in Bangkok? Find your photos quite interesting and inspiring. What do you find as obstacle, taking photos street and people, in the place you are living now?
Wow, I dunno if I’d consider my work to be that “inspiring” but I do appreciate the kind words.
Yes, I’ve been living in Bangkok for about a year now. I’d have to say, the biggest obstacle is the language barrier. Since I cannot speak fluent Thai sometimes it’s difficult to approach certain people. So I spend most of my time hiding and shooting while my subjects are unaware of my presence. However every now and then I have to step forward (or someone notices me) and the only thing I can do is smile back or give a thumbs up or something. Usually it’s not a big deal but sometimes I’ll get some strange looks or a guard will put his hands in front of my camera and tell me things I can’t understand.
Also my neighbors probably think I’m crazy because I’m always wandering in dark alleys and tight spaces with a camera shooting at random shit.
